How to Make Sheet Tabs Larger in OpenOffice

    • 1). Open up a new or existing OpenOffice Calc document by clicking the icon on the desktop or finding it under the programs area of the Start menu. Right-click on the sheet that you would like to modify at the bottom left of the page. These are labeled "Sheet 1," "Sheet 2" and "Sheet 3" by default. Choose "Rename."

    • 2). Type in the new name of the sheet. Don't worry about the length of the name. When you are done, press "Enter." The sheet tab size will automatically adjust to the length of the text.

    • 3). Adjust the space for the tabs by grabbing the separator just after the last sheet. Your pointer will turn into two arrows when it is hovering over the separator. Drag it to the right until all of your sheet tabs and the names of those sheet tabs are displayed. You may not be able to see all the names of the sheet tabs if you have too many to fit the required space.
