How to Write a Good Birthday Invitation
- 1). Write down the critical details of your event on a piece of paper. Use the categories "who," "what," "when," "where," "why," and "how" to guide your thoughts.
- 2). Write between two and four verses of poetry to describe your event. Begin with one line and build upon the ending word. Make sure the verses rhyme. An example is the following: "You're invited to a birthday party celebrating Mike! There will be cake and ice cream and karaoke we hope you'll like!"
- 3). Add two more verses of poetry that align with the birthday person's personality and reveal event details. For example: "Meet us at Bolton Park on June 5 at two. If you can't make it, we'll be blue!"
