We are going to go ahead and start making our rice now so we are going to start off making our vegetable stock. So we are going to heat our back burner up to about 7 and we are going to come over and we are going to measure out two cups of hot water and bring this back to the burner. The reason why we are doing two cups is we are going to make one cup of rice so we usually want two cups of liquid to one cup of rice. We are going to take a teaspoon of vegetable stock and we are going to stir this into the water just until it removes itself from our spoon. Now it is very sticky so we are going to go ahead and break it into pieces and smash it along the bottom and stir it a little bit more until it is a nice orange color.
