How to Fix a Cracked Toilet Base
- 1). Clean any loose particles from inside the toilet crack using a clean, dry rag. Wipe the area on the toilet base around the crack with the rag, making certain that the base is dry.
- 2). Mix the contents from the two tubes of the two-part epoxy kit together on a paper plate. Stir the mixture with a stir stick.
- 3). Apply the epoxy mixture to the crack on the toilet base using a small putty knife. Push the epoxy into the crack, being careful not to scrape the toilet with the putty knife.
- 4). Wipe off any excess epoxy from the toilet base with the rag. Allow the epoxy sufficient time to dry, according to the manufacturer's instructions.
