Make Me Over!!!

Brittany, the beautiful Black/Native American contestant is frustrated because she wants to be a high-fashion model, but her pictures are just “pretty” in the eyes of the judges. Least she got to meet Nigel. Annaleigh feels like she’s disappointing the judges. It could be because she’s blending into the background so much. She needs to bring out her personality more.
They arrive home to find Tyra in their living room wearing a tiara.

They scream like she’s Jesus just because she’s there. If this is the producer’s fault, they need to stop it. They met the woman already. Several times. Tyra welcomes them to a princess party, complete with tiaras and gift bags for everyone. They even get to eat carbalicious pizza. Tyra talks about her early career when she and her mother were told that she needed to lose weight. She was given a list of designers that fit certain body types. She and her mother decided instead of high fashion, Tyra would change her career to match her body type, remain healthy, and do the Americana type modeling for clients much more reality based like Victoria’s Secret and Sports Illustrated. Then she tells them about makeover time!

Miss J comes around the corner dressed like the witch from Snow White offering an apple. He tells Tyra eating an apple will make her a top model forever. She bites, he leaves, and she falls out. Jay Alexander, aka Prince Couture, kisses her (wishful thinking on all our parts…) and she is revived.

She says she is woozy and can’t tell them what their makeovers will be, so Mr. & Miss J will have to reveal the makeovers the next day.

Finally!

The J’s say they don’t know what the absent Tyra has decided each makeover should look like. The mirrors are all covered so the ladies won’t even know until they are complete. “Fierce Witch” Tyra chimes in via voiceover to say that Marjorie is too blond, so they darken her to a warm brown. Jocelyn, who unfortunately couldn’t get a voice makeover, gets a wavy weave down her back. Fierce Witch says Samantha looks like any girl walking in a mall with plastic earrings on. Ouch! They elevate her with short hair. She cries, and it doesn’t help that the makeup artist’s eyes bugle out when he sees her. She actually loves the result. And she looks great. Hannah is too mousy, so they give her a bang and chop her hair to chin length. Now she looks like Nikeysha. Clark is given a dark brown hue to create an edge in her personality. Lauren Brie goes platinum. Now she looks like Samantha used to. Sheena is given highlights to keep her from looking so much like Kimora Lee Simmons. Annaleigh is given layers and made even more blond. Elina gets a red, wavy weave. She takes some time to warm up to it. She doesn’t feel like herself. I love it. McKey gets black short hair. Isis gets a long, expensive weave. Brittany gets a longer weave and Miss J says she could totally be a trophy wife. Tells her to stop crying and embrace it and work it.
