5 Steps to Handling a Woman"s Emotional Distress For Men

103 11
One problem most men have in common is not knowing how to handle women when they're angry and men don't know why.
Some men just give women some space and time to heal on their own.
Other men just walk away and avoid the problem entirely.
The best way to help out your girl when they're hurting is to take the proactive approach.
It is important to do this because it brings you closer to her, shows her you care and shows her your willingness to be there during tough times.
There are times in every relationship you may do something and your woman will just lose it.
You may feel like they're overreacting but what could be really happening is that they're indirectly calling for your help.
Step 1.
Don't Take It Personal
The first thing you can do is not take things personally.
There are times when your woman can verbally abuse you knowing what buttons to push to get you upset.
But try to keep your cool and don't take it personally.
Don't raise your voice or become threatening.
Whatever you do, don't try to understand her feelings because she may feel like you are belittling her.
Just listen and let her vent.
Step 2.
Look Beyond Your Partner and Look at the Situation
The next thing you can do is look beyond her and look for the problem which is really troubling her.
Don't focus on her.
Ask her questions which will help guide you to finding the real problem.
If she is being really difficult and doesn't want you to help her out, you can just listen and comply to requests that she makes of you.
Just being there when she is hurting will do a world of good.
Whatever you do, if her logic seems really dumb, don't make her feel worse by saying it's her fault.
This is a natural reaction from men who don't think about the situation but end up hurting their partner more.
Step 3.
Putting Things in Perspective
The third thing to do is put the situation in perspective.
Still allow her to vent and go crazy but as she calms down, you can divert her attention to other things which will take her mind off of what is troubling her.
Try to bring up positive things and thoughts.
By doing this, it may help to douse the fire.
Step 4.
Don't Add to an Already Bad Situation
The fourth thing is very important and that is to not add to their hurt.
While they may be attacking you, the worst thing you can do is to dump more gas into the fire.
Maybe the argument or situation is not your fault, but don't strike back out of retaliation.
Try to be the man like you should and let it go.
Forgiveness is a virtue.
Step 5.
Help Them Seek Help
The last thing to do with an angry partner is help them find help.
Do this when the situation arises and you feel it is bigger than what you can handle.
Assure her you will be there every step of the way.
You can't force her to get help, but in the aftermath when everything is said and done, she will appreciate it.
