    • 1). Disconnect the water supply to the toilet by turning the stop handle clockwise as far as it will go. This valve is generally located behind or next to the toilet's cistern.

    • 2). Disconnect the water supply pipe from under the tank. Remember to turn clockwise to loosen and anti-clockwise to tighten the connection. Unbolt the tank from the toilet and remove the nuts, bolts and washers. Lift the cistern from off the toilet.

    • 3). Take off the old flush valve and flapper with a wrench. Install the new flush valve provided in the kit. Place a chipboard washer between the cistern and the base of the toilet to reduce friction and provide a tighter joint. Remember to place the red rubber seal on the flusher connection inside the cistern.

    • 4). Reassemble the cistern to the base with new bolts and washers. Check that the new sponge gasket is correctly positioned between the cistern floor and the toilet base or bowl. Remember to place rubber washers, brass washers and brass nuts, in that order, on the underside of the bowl when assembling the cistern.

    • 5). Adjust the height of the flush valve so it is at least one inch below the flush-lever nut. Connect the refill tube to the fill valve and connect the other side to the overflow tube with the hook included in the Korky kit so the chain is taut.

    • 6). Reconnect the water supply line and turn on the water supply valve. Flush repeatedly and check for leaks.
