Sly Cooper Games to Play
- Released in 2002 for the PlayStation 2, "Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus" introduces the character of Sly Cooper and the background of his family of master thieves. Prior to the events of the game, a giant mechanical bird and rival thief named Clockwerk stole the "Thievius Raccoonus." A book containing the Cooper family's secrets, the "Thievius Raccoonus" was then split between the members of Clockwerk's gang. Throughout the course of the game, players will complete missions to ultimately collect the pages of the book and defeat Clockwerk and his gang.
- The 2004 PlayStation 2 installment in the "Sly Cooper" franchise retained the art style and game play of the first game, while introducing the ability to play as Sly's friends Bentley and Cooper. Upon discovering that Sly's archrival Clockwerk has been dismantled after the first game, Sly and his gang must face off with the Klaww gang to retrieve the various parts of Clockwerk and prevent his reassembly.
- The third installment in the "Sly Cooper" franchise, released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2, continued the game play and art style of the series while introducing even more playable characters to Sly's gang. The storyline of "Sly 3" involves Sly learning the location of his family's secret vault, currently guarded by a man named Dr. M who has been attempting to break into the vault himself. In order to break into the vault, Sly must seek out a team of thieves from around the world. "Sly 3" also includes an option to view certain sections of the game using 3-D glasses.
- Released in 2011 for the PlayStation 3, "The Sly Collection" collects the three PlayStation 2 installments of the series. In addition to compiling the games in one release, "The Sly Collection" also features updated graphics for high-definition displays and PlayStation trophies. For PlayStation 3 owners who also have the PlayStation Move controller, the game also includes four additional minigames designed for the motion controller.
- A collection of motion-based minigames for the PlayStation Move controller, "PlayStation Move Heroes" was released for the PS3 in early 2011. Featuring characters from the "Sly Cooper," "Ratchet and Clank" and "Jak and Daxter" franchises, the minigames in the collection follow a storyline involving the characters being captured by aliens and working together in order to break free. "PlayStation Move Heroes" also supports cooperative multiplayer for two players
