How to Make Easy Lanyards
- 1). Measure out a length of the nylon cord so it makes a loop that hangs around the neck and down to the chest.
- 2). Push the two ends of the nylon cord through the rope sleeve -- a metal sleeve that holds the rope. Pull the cord ends down so approximately 4 inches are past the sleeve on both ends of the cord.
- 3). Crimp down the sleeve to secure the cord in this length and position.
- 4). Tie the ends of the cord to a D-ring or key ring to enclose the loop. Use a square knot, or a Double Fisherman's Bend to secure the ends together (see Resources.)
