Callaway RAZR X Hybrid Features a Matte Gray Paint Job
I own both the 21 and 27 degree and can say without shadow of doubt that it is the best addition to my golf bag. I've only gone to the range to test this out but I found this Callaway RAZR X Hybrid to be extremely easy to hit. It does not take too much effort for a straight 180-200 yarder off the ground which I struggle to hit on long irons.
Forgiving clubs that produce extremely good distance with a high flight path, resulting in soft landings. For a 20+ handicapper like myself this clubs give me the only feasible chance for greens in regulation in par 4's, as well as long 190+ yards par 3's. They work like no other rescue club i've tried from the rough, with a razor shape head design that gets easily below the ball. It is also a mighty chipping weapon, using it with a putting-like stroke.
Bottom line: I could play an entire round with just these clubs and my putter and hold my own. I strongly recommend this jewels from Callaway to anyone at any level. The first chance that I had an opportunity to hit the club came and it soared perfectly to the spot I had intended it to go. I thought it a fluke and when I hit it again it too went to my spot.
It functions to separate the line visually from other clubs in the market without standing out so much that it drives away golfers with more conservative style preferences. The black face is reminiscent of the very unique shape that was offered in the RAZR X series of hybrids - a shallow, almost elliptical profile with a rounded lower portion.
At impact, the Callaway X Hot Hybrid emits a classic €crack' that I found tremendously pleasing to my ears. It's mostly void of the high-pitched metallic sound that some hybrids produce. It was something I found myself wanting to hear over and over again during testing.
I was able to carry it over the 200 mark, but 190 was a pretty reliable number for me to take to the course. Ball speeds were actually very good and gave the potential for some outstanding distance. I did lose some yardage to launch and spin, both of which were on the higher side.
To sum up, those people looking for a higher ball flight to increase their carry distance would be wise to take a look at this RAZR X Hybrid, as I think they could see some substantial distance with the right configuration.
