How to Make Street Drums
- 1). Place the bucket face down on your work surface. Grasp the bucket handle, hold it firmly to the bucket and tape it to the bucket with a few strips of duct tape. This keeps the handle from moving around while you're playing the drum.
- 2). Wrap two solid layers of duct tape around the top edge of the bucket. Press down firmly as you wrap the tape around the bucket.
- 3). Attach a strand of duct tape to the tape layers on the bucket. Start to wrap another layer, but after about five inches pinch the duct tape into a loop. Then continue to tape another 5 to 10 inches and pinch another loop. Continue wrapping the tape all the way around the bucket until the loops are firmly secured to the bucket.
- 4). Tie one end of a piece of rope to one of the loops, and tie the opposite end of the rope to the other loop. This rope serves as the drum's strap.
- 5). Tape vertical strips of duct tape along the tape wrap at the top of the bucket to reinforce the strap loops.
