Cast iron teapots are very popular tea brewing vessels which originated in Japan and China. These are very practical to use as they are known to spread out heat evenly. You need to take good care of these brewing vessels so that they can serve you for a long time without any problem. For instance you are not supposed to use soap to clean them as you are only supposed to rinse it using warm water. If you have not used it for long you are supposed to do this several times so that you get rid of any dust or coating that it many have. This will ensure that you make high quality tea which is fit for human consumption. You should also not use abrasive pads when you are cleaning it as this may scratch it and leave it looking bad.

When you are not using the tetsubin cast iron teapot you should ensure you rinse it off and dry it properly to avoid rusting. You should also store in a safe place where it will not fall to avoid unnecessary breakages. You should also keep it away from oil and salt as this may also cause it to rust. You are also advised not to leave liquids in the vessels for a long time.
