War Buddies Reconnect With a Cell Phone Finder
Two friends who served together in the Koran war are praising an online cell phone finder for its role in helping them reunite 55 years later.
Richard "Dick" Girouse was cleaning his attic and found a pair of boots that he wore while serving in the Korean War.
Written on the tongue of the bots was the name Mac, Girouse's friend from the war who had given him the boots when he lost his own.
Dick he got to thinking about his old buddy Mac Arnes, and wanted to see how he was doing.
But he had no idea how to get a hold of him.
He tried calling the VFW office, but they didn't have his address or his phone number.
The yellow pages didn't help either.
He had no idea what to do when looking for some one's phone number.
He was about to give up when his grandson told him that finding his friend was as easy.
His grandson told him to go find a cell phone lookup that could find number with their name.
He told Dick that he could just type in his friend's name and the cell phone finder would feed him the results.
The only thing Dick knew about Mac was that he once lived in Virginia.
He signed up for the directory, typed in Mac Arnes and Virginia, and within minutes he had a number of matches.
There were too many numbers in the cell phone directory for him to try calling them all.
But browsing through, he weeded out anyone under 60 and quickly found Mac's cell phone number.
He called and to his delight, Mac answered and they finally had a chance to catch up.
