How to Edit Flip HD Video
- 1). Connect the USB plug on the Flip HD video camera into one of the USB ports on the computer. Power on the camera and the system will state that it has detected a new, removable video camera.
- 2). Click "Start" and "(My) Computer" and double-click the camera icon. A window loads with all of the video files stored on the Flip HD camera. Click and drag the video files from the open window onto the desktop or any other location on the computer. Once the files are copied, you may disconnect the Flip HD video camera from the computer.
- 3). Launch Windows Movie Maker from the "Start" Menu. Once the video editor loads, click "File," "Import," and then choose the HD videos you uploaded from the Flip video camera and click "OK." The files load onto the right side of the program window as thumbnail images.
- 4). Double-click the thumbnail image you want to edit. It loads into the display screen on the program. Press "Play" to start the video, and then click the "Input Creation" button, located directly below the "Play" button, to mark the first frame of video you want to use. Continue the playback, and then click the "Output Creation" button to set the output mark.
- 5). Click and drag the edited video into the timeline at the bottom of the screen. Repeat this process with any other video clip you want to edit. Choose "File," "Save Movie As" and then title the video file. Select a location to save the movie to and click "OK" to export the edited Flip HD video file.
