Article Writing - The 8 Step Blueprint For Writing Articles
Writing articles is a science as well as an art.
So you must consider yourself as a scientist and an artist rolled into one.
While writing articles, there are certain steps to be followed that can help you to concentrate better on the subject at hand.
Here they are.
1.
Settle down: Choose a place which is most comfortable for you while writing articles.
You don't want to be distracted by noises of playing children or the loud speakers of the television.
Make sure you have a comfortable chair and the computer or laptop is placed at the right height.
2.
Choose a theme: Be very sure of the purpose of your writing.
So choose the theme accordingly.
Allow you brain to mull over the theme for some time so that it gets in the flow of writing.
3.
Create an outline: Before you start writing, it helps to create an outline to organize your thoughts.
I have seen that having an outline helps to cut down on the time you need to write the article.
Otherwise you only tend to write and delete and then write again from a different angle.
The outline is best created as a numbered list or bulleted points.
4.
Create the title: Compose a title for the article which will convey the summary of the contents.
It is OK if you are not able to get the final title right now.
At least get a working title in place which will help you to write the article introduction and conclusion.
5.
Write the introduction: start by writing the introduction first.
Create an interest in the subject by posing a question or presenting a fact or statistic.
Then explain what you are going to write in the article.
6.
Expand on the outline: Now, you expand each bullet point and share your advice.
It helps if you can give examples to illustrate the points you are making.
Keep these paragraphs short - about 100 words or less.
7.
Write the conclusion: Finally, compose the conclusion which is nothing but the summary of the article.
In some cases, you might want to give some additional information in the summary which is related to the subject.
Make sure you write the conclusion knowing that you have to write a resource box in continuation.
8.
Review the article: Never submit an article without doing a review for spelling mistakes and grammatical error.
Read the whole article word for word and make changes if required.
There it is.
The above 8 step blueprint will help you to write more articles in less time.
