However, the movie's director James Cameron rejected the idea of a song playing over the end credits when it was first discussed. Reportedly, Celine Dion's voice changed his mind. "My Heart Will Go On" went straight to #1 on the pop singles chart and also picked up an Academy Award for Best Song From a Motion Picture to add to the Grammy Award for Record of the Year.
