The Xbox 360 error 65 is one of the common errors with the Xbox elite.
This is a minor hardware defect that you can fix by yourself with some common knowledge.
Therefore there is no need to worry if you have removed your sticker or if your warranty is over.
You can do this fix by yourself at your home given that you have a little time and a little knowledge about the error.
The solution to every error lies in knowing the actual problem of the error.
The actual problem to this error would be that the DVD driver has timed out.
This means that the DVD driver on your Xbox did not respond when it was supposed to.
Because of this there was no signal to the motherboard and this caused a failure in the function of the console.
The most common problem here is the loose connections on your DVD drive.
These loose connections could come from anywhere.
They could be the faulty wiring; they could be because you dropped your Xbox or many other hazard conditions that would have caused the loose wiring.
The fix to this would be to take apart your Xbox and open the DVD drive.
Make sure that all the connections to the DVD drive are fixed and there are no loose wires running around.
Also check the functionality of each wire.
If a wire is faulty then you should consider replacing that wire.
This would normally solve the problem but it this does not then the problem would mainly lie with the motherboard or the DVD drive itself.
In such a case it is best to replace the DVD drive or the motherboard itself.
Most of the times the motherboard has a unique key for the DVD drive so replacing one would be the same as replacing the other.
