How to Make Sure Cloudmark Desktop Doesn"t Filter Newsletters

Cloudmark Desktop is a huge community deciding what is spam. You profit from others classifying spam and they profit from your actions.
While the general opinion of the community will usually match yours (when you see spam you know it, and so does everybody else), there's always the chance that others mark as spam a newsletter that you want to receive — sending it to the Spam folder for you, too.

Fortunately, it's easy to prevent this from happening in Cloudmark Desktop.

You can whitelist individual email addresses or domains, and messages from senders in your whitelist will never be marked as spam by Cloudmark Desktop.

I have put D106 on the whitelist immediately after signing up for some About newsletters, for example, to make sure I'll never have to go look for my newsletters in the Spam folder.

To make sure Cloudmark SpamNet does not filter your newsletters:
  • Select Cloudmark | Options... from the Cloudmark SpamNet toolbar in Outlook.
  • Go to the Smartlist tab.
  • Click the Add button.
  • Type the email address or domain you want to whitelist.
    • To make sure you'll always receive all About newsletters, for example, type "D106".
  • Click OK.
  • Click OK again.
  • Click, yes, OK.
