On this week's Billboard Rock Songs chart, we have a brand new No. 1 and two debuts within the Top 10. So, yes, there's a lot of activity going on. Let's get to it... 


10. Disturbed - "The Animal"


"The Animal" drop three spots after getting as high as No. 6. Disturbed will be part of this May's Rock on the Range festival.

9. Shinedown - "Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom)"


"Diamond Eyes" was a track featured on the soundtrack of last summer's action movie The Expendables. It's available on the deluxe version of 2008's The Sound of Madness, and this week it hits the Top 10, landing at No. 9.

8. Avenged Sevenfold - "Welcome to the Family"


Avenged Sevenfold rise a notch this week to No. 8 with "Welcome to the Family." The band will hit the road with Three Days Grace starting April 22.Buy from Amazon »


7. Rise Against - "Help Is on the Way"

6. Mumford & Sons - "Little Lion Man"


"Little Lion Man" drops one spot this week. The Mumford & Sons cut is the second-oldest song in our top 10, having been out for 36 weeks.

5. Alter Bridge - "Isolation"


Alter Bridge continue their slow but steady progress up the chart. After dropping a spot last week, "Isolation" moves up one place this week, hoping to break the Top Four soon.

4. My Chemical Romance - "Sing"


My Chemical Romance looked like they were dead in the water. But after a few weeks of tumbling, "Sing" suddenly has new life, bolting up four spots.

3. The Black Keys - "Tighten Up"


"Tighten Up" is our oldest song in the Top 10: It's been out for 37 weeks. But the bigger news is that the Black Keys single, which won the Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals, has finally dropped out of the top spot. This week, it falls two spots to No. 3 after being No. 1 for 12 of the last 13 weeks.

2. Linkin Park - "Waiting for the End"


"Waiting for the End" could never hit No. 1 because of the Black Keys. This week, the Linkin Park single climbs one spot.

1. Cage the Elephant - "Shake Me Down"


After two weeks at No. 2, Cage the Elephant have the No. 1 rock song in the land. "Shake Me Down" is the first single off the band's sophomore effort, Thank You Happy Birthday.
