Love Express is an upcoming Bollywood film directed by debutant Sunny Bhambani. The film is produced by Subhash Ghai's Mukta Searchlight and will hit the theatres on 10th June. The highlight of the film is that most of the cast and crew of the film, including the lead actors, technicians and the debutant director are the alumni of Whistling Woods International, a leading film school in India. The film features, veteran Bollywood actor Om Puri along with new artistes Sahil Mehta, Mannat Rani, Vikas Katyal and Priyam Galav.

Love Express as the name suggests belongs to the romantic genre and it traces two parallel yet contrastig love stories. The film is set in a train full of Baraatis (friends and family of the groom) from Amritsar to Mumbai. A young couple on the way to their own wedding wants to break-up, while the other couple wants to make up after a five-year-old break-up.

The first couple in the film plans to break up their wedding because it is an arranged marriage – a marriage that has been arranged by their parents who have been friends for decades. The young girl and boy are not willing for an arranged marriage and prefer to have their own choice of partners.  So they plan a way to get their way out but for which their respective families have to pay a heavy price. Is it too late for them to make amends? The film is full of hilarious situations with several twists and turns that take place during this fun-filled and eventful journey on Love Express which is eventually a joyride through a Punjabi wedding on wheels that makes you laugh and touches your heart.

Subhash Ghai makes his comeback as a producer with two films in quick succession this summer, Love Express and ‘Nouka Dubi', a Bengali film. Kashmakash is ‘Nouka Dubi's Hindi version. This film set in the 1920s is based on a short story by Rabindranath Tagore. The film deals with mistaken identities and how the lives of strangers get inter-twined. Nouka Dubi aka Kashmakash is directed by acclaimed Bengali director, Rituporno Ghosh and stars the likes of some Tollywood heavy weights like, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jishu Sengupta, Riya Sen and Raima Sen
