About Partnership for Prescription Assistance
- Patients, caregivers and doctors can print applications and fill them out. This option helps doctors prescribe medications that are covered by the program (see Resources).
- In order to qualify for assistance, the applicant can make up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level. He must not have insurance that includes prescription coverage.
- There are numerous programs available through Partnership for Prescription Assistance. These include free or almost free medications from over 475 private and public companies, as well as 180 pharmaceutical companies.
- The PPA offers programs to people who have prescription coverage but can't afford their co-pays. In order to qualify for these programs, the patient has to meet certain medical qualifications as well as certain income guidelines.
- There is no cost associated with applying for prescription help through PPA, except for the costs associated with printing applications and sending the application and supporting documentations in for verification.
