How I Lost 20 Pounds Confidence But No Weight in a Week

When I took a serious look at myself in the mirror I new that this was not the way I looked a few years back.
Yes, I am older but there is really no excuse for getting fat and untrained.
I would still enjoy receiving compliments about my body and fitness.
Different cultures and different values.
You might be lucky to live in a country where 40 pounds overweight is considered to look healthy, but unfortunately this is not my reality.
I come from the western world where you are supposed to have a well built body with no extra body fat hanging out anywhere.
At the same time you are expected to deal with ice cream, soft drinks and hamburgers in a healthy way.
The contradictions and the temptations in the Western world is enormous and does not make it easier to get a convincing look in the mirror.
The start is the problem! I don't know about you, but I certainly don't like to get comments about why I suddenly want to get fit.
This is my own struggle and I like to get over it before I show the world.
In my mind I made up the perfect health plan including jogging, swimming and gym which felt great thinking about it.
The tricky part was to find motivation to really do it.
The first three days were fine and I started to see a bright future.
At day 4, there were suddenly too many private things that needed to be taken care of that made me postpone the training with one day.
You probably know the rest of the story.
This was the time my family and friends started to make fun of me and I lost all my confidence in less than a week.
I learned the lesson.
Looking back over my younger years it was easy to recall the great pictures and feelings I had about myself and my body.
The same pictures and feelings help me today to give me the motivation to again get back in shape.
I want: * to be proud of myself * to get compliments * to be happy * to be accepted * to have more energy The lesson I learned was not to do the mission alone.
You need a family member or friend joining with support and encouragement to get going, stopping you from having excuses.
I solved the problem.
