    • 1). Click the Start menu then select "Computer." Double-click "(C:)" under the section "Hard Disk Drives."

    • 2). Navigate to the folder that is not displaying a result. Right-click the folder and select "Properties."

    • 3). Click the "Security" tab, then click "Edit." This will open the Permissions window for the folder.

    • 4). Click "Add." The "Select Users, Computers, Service Accounts or Groups" window opens.

    • 5). Type "system" in the text box labeled "Enter the object names to select."

    • 6). Click "Check Names." Put a check in the box for "System" and click "OK."

    • 7). Click the "File" drop-down and select "Exit" to close the Permissions window.
