How do I Replace the Speakers on a 2003 Suzuki Aerio?
- 1). Remove the Phillips screw from the inside of the door release trim, using a Phillips screwdriver.
- 2). Pry off the front portion of the door pull handle on the interior side of the door, using a panel tool. When the front portion is off remove the two Phillips screws from the behind the handle, using a Phillips screwdriver.
- 3). Pry around the bottom and side edges of the door panel with a panel tool. Lift the panel off of the door and disconnect the wiring harness connected to the back side of the door.
- 4). Remove the three Phillips screws from the edge of the speaker with a Phillips screwdriver. Pull the speaker out of the door and unplug the wiring harness connected to the back. Plug the wiring harness into your new speaker and test operation. Place the new speaker into the door and secure with the Phillips screws. Replace the door panel and trim.
- 5). Repeat the previous steps to replace the speaker on the other front door.
- 1). Fold down the rear seat backs.
- 2). Pry off the plastic covers from the three child seat anchors located on the front edge of the rear deck. Remove the 12 mm bolt from each of the anchors with a 12 mm wrench and remove the anchors.
- 3). Push the brake light assembly on the rear deck towards the rear window and lift it up. Disconnect the wiring harness connected to the light.
- 4). Pry up the front edge of the rear deck with a panel tool, pull the deck forward to remove.
- 5). Remove the three Phillips screws from the edge of each speaker with a Phillips screwdriver. Pull the speakers out of the deck and unplug the wiring harnesses connected to the backs. Plug the wiring harnesses into your new speakers and test operation. Place the new speakers into the deck and secure with the Phillips screws. Replace the deck panel and other parts you've removed.
