    • 1). Brush the moss away with a hard-bristle brush. Work in between each patio stone with the brush.

    • 2). Put on a pair of gardening gloves and scoop up all of the moss that you brushed away from the patio stones. Place it in a trash bag and throw it away.

    • 3). Apply copper sulfate if you have a large amount of moss to get rid of. Mix 4 oz. of copper sulfate with 4 gallons of water and spray it over the moss. Wait 48 hours for the moss to die.

    • 4). Rake the moss up and throw it away.
