If you are after increasing the amount of power you can use in your golf swing then spend some time adding in some golf swing help exercises.
This is a very effective way of improving your consistency in your game and adding power to your swing.
All golf players have some kind of limitation in their game which has a direct effect on their swing.
There are 3 areas, strength, endurance and flexibility which effects golfer's swing, and if left unaddressed will effect the swing forever.
It is a bit like learning a new habit, in this case a bad golf swing, and reinforcing that habit every time you play a game of golf.
Stretch the time period out into years and you will appreciate how much of a challenge it can be to try and correct this after years of doing the bad habit.
Spend some time strengthening your core muscles if you are after more distance from your swing.
By core muscles I am referring to those muscles in the core (or centre) of your body, that is your abs and back area.
Also, developing your own stretching routine is very important to improving your swing.
There are a number of ways you can do this - your local area might have classes in yoga or sports yoga which I strongly recommend you attend.
You could also find some quality information online for the same purpose.
Either way you must commit to stretching on a very regular basis, almost everyday I would say.
I know it takes up time but you can stretch for 15mins a day easily whilst watching the TV.
