Caring and Compassionate Professions

This article is about careers that are caring and compassionate.
Not all jobs are business-like.
There are some jobs that are directed at the greater good.
What I meant is that people working within these types of jobs are motivated by the desire to care for and nurture other people.
What is compassion? Compassion is feeling for the suffering of other people.
Compassion makes one want to take action to help another.
It is this trait that distinguish them (people within compassionate careers) from other types of professionals.
Here are some examples of compassion-based professions: 1.
Social worker.
The persons within this field of work feel strongly for the suffering of certain less well-off groups of people within the society.
This group of less fortunate people includes the poor, aged and the physically disabled.
Driven by deep compassion, the social worker works in the much underrated career of taking care of these latter group of people.
2.
Childbirth Doula.
She helps to to ease the pain associated with pregnancy.
A Doula's job involves helping pregnant women.
Doula must also understand the psyche of mothers-to-be and provide some kind of emotional assistance too.
Depending on the person, what inspires is different.
For many, inspiration is important to a meaningful life.
For a compassion-based professional, he or she derives fulfillment and happiness from helping others.
As most of these compassion-based professions are not flashy, they are also not highly visible.
This fact is really not doing them a service.
The people in these professions are doing society a great service.
I think they should be given greater respect and reverence.
