Queen Elizabeth National Park is located astride the equator in the South Western part of Uganda and the second largest in the country.  It covers an area of 1,978sqkm and is very popular for everything that it owes to its visitors as pertaining adventure. Queen Elizabeth boasts of a rich flora and fauna and it is a known home to some of the most amazing wild animals, birds, plants and wild plants.  There are various wildlife species both flora and fauna. These among others include the Open grasslands with thickets, swamps, Elephants, crocodiles, Hippos, Giraffes, the bush bucks, chimpanzees the red tiled monkeys, Buffaloes, the tree climbing Lions.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is also a perfect place for adventure travel and has a lot to offer for adventure lovers, those who are interested in finding out new things. Some of the major adventure activities include chimpanzee trekking, guided nature walks, launch cruising, camping and game drives which can either be night or day, Bird Watching; with this one it is guided by knowledgeable guides about birds to equip the clients with good information about various species. Both overseas and home adventure lovers pay a visit to Uganda (the Pearl of Africa) to enjoy adventure activities in this park. There are also two water bodies (lakes) Edward and George plus a water channel (Kazinga Channel) which is worth watching. Around these are the various bird species that are eye catching. You can also be sure to watch other animals like the Elephants cooling their bodies along the shores of the lake.

 There is no specific day to visit this God given Park. Any day, one can decide to pay a visit to have a look at the wonderful gifts in there. Accommodations are simply available and very accessible in and around this Park as there are a range of quality resorts and hotels with all the up to date facilities and services. Reaching Queen Elizabeth National Park is not a big matter as it can easily be accessed from the major roads of Kampala-Mbarara highway. There is also a nearest airport in Kasese.
