Causes of stress

Stress is a very popular part of society. It is not addressed in the correct way for most people. There is so much discussion about depression these days because there are more and more people that are faced with it. There are many causes of stress and most of them are very popular with most people while others are not so well known.

Many people have stress because they are so tired. If a person is not getting enough sleep, they are going to be irritable and not in the right state of mind. They may be an easier target for getting stress because their body and mind is so vulnerable to it.

There are other causes for stress as well. For some people they are having a hard time at work. Maybe they are working too many hours and are not getting home to spend time with family like they would want. In some instances, a boss may be too demanding or yell at you for no good reason. This is enough to make any person feel upset and depressed. If you have a long commute home from work and the stress of traffic is getting to you, this can cause some major problems. For some people, they may start to have road rage or anger towards other drivers on the road. This is a definite cause for people to gain too much stress.

Another reason for stress is being fired or laid off from a job. If a person is having trouble at work, or they have lost their job, they are going to find themselves with feelings of depression and anxiety. This is something that needs to be addressed by the person so that they can get the help that they need.

If a person is worried about money, they may be more inclined to have stress in their life. When a person is worried that they cannot pay their bills or if they are not earning enough money, they will start to feel depressed from all the worrying. This can also cause relationship problems at home. If a person is having money troubles, it may start to affect the way a husband and wife gets along. This can even lead to divorce and separation.

If you are having family problems with a certain family member, you may find that you are adding stress into your life. This is something that can be avoided if you are willing to confront your problems head on with the family member. This can fix the situation and make it less stressful. Stress is very common and it is found in just about everyone. It can be hard to deal with but working through it can be a good way to eliminate it help the person live a happier and healthier life.

How does stress affect the body?

Having stress can affect the body in many ways. It is something that can bring emotional and physical problems to the body and there a person should take the appropriate steps to deal with it.

There are many ways that stress can harm the body. The release of chemicals called catecholamine from brain will include hormones that include adrenaline and epinephrine. A person may feel an increase in their heart rate and blood pressure. This will occur when the body is feeling the stress and their lungs and heart are going to work harder. The rate of breathing will increase and the lungs will take in more oxygen.

The blood flow increases to get the body ready for other demands that stress brings on.
A person will probably have dryness of the mouth. Blood flow will decrease to areas that are less important for basic survival and this will include the mouth. The cause of dryness of the mouth will mean that a person will have a hard time talking and swallowing.

The skin can become clammy as the blood flow is diverted to vital organs and muscles. You will feel hot or cold when this happens and you may have feelings of hot flashes as well. You will also find that digesting food is more difficult and you may experience stomach problems like nausea or cramps.

Having long-term stress can lead to physical or psychological damage to the body. Stress develops slowly into more serious problems, which can include anxiety disorders or depression. This is when a person will feel lonely and disgusted with their body and will not want to be around any other people. When this is the case, it is time for them to get the help that they need to cope with their stress. This is the only way that they can get rid of the stress that is ruining their lives.

Stress can make a person push their loved ones away. It can affect personal relationships and make it hard for people to want to be around you. Some people will get irritable and upset over the smallest thing. They will get angry easily and find themselves yelling at the people that they love the most. This is a normal side effect of stress but it can be helped and a person can start to feel like themselves again with a little help and understanding.

How to help someone with stress

If you know someone that is dealing with a lot of stress, you may want to help him or her deal with it. You can do some things in order to get them through their difficult periods and continue to see them through the entire dilemma that stress can bring to someone's life. It is important for you to be a good method of support for them and to let them know that you are always going to be there for them.

If you are trying to help someone with stress, you need to be a good support for him or her. Call them as often as you can. Ask how they are doing and if they need anything. Be there for the person when they want to talk and open up about things. This can be one of the best ways to help someone that is dealing with stress and needs to find help.

If a person is alone, you can call them up and ask to dinner. Invite them over to the house to watch a movie or play board games. Do anything that you can in order to involve them in some form of physical activity. If they are depressed from stress, being alone may only add to their problems and may even create more in the end.

Being a true friend means being there to lend a hand and help when necessary. When a person is suffering from stress, they may not ask for help that they want. It is important that you are looking for the signs and know when you need to intervene with some help. You can make a difference to them just by being their friend. This is the most that you can do for them to help them in a bad situation.

Watch for the warning signs of stress and the depression that it can cause. Look for signs of distress like not eating, staying at home all the time, pushing away friends and loved ones, not going to work and if their appearance suddenly changes. These are all signs that there may be a problem in their life and they may need to have a little extra attention from their friends and other method of support.

Just be a friend and help them get through the tough times. Offer you hand and tell them that it will be all right. This is the most effective way that you can help someone when they are dealing with stress.
