The Essence of a Caloric Deficit in Fat Loss Programs

Gone are the days when fat loss strategies were vague and mysterious.
Contemporary sound fat loss strategies are based on scientific grounds, where each calorie eaten or burnt is very important.
Following intense research into the area of dieting and fat loss, it has become generally agreed that fat loss only accrues from a calorie deficit in the body.
Today, virtually the whole of the diverse scientific community concurs in the fact that fat loss must be based on the regulation of the calories ingested into the body and those that are burnt in the course of that day.
In other instances, this regulation is called the law of body energy balance.
A calorie deficit simply means that the amount of calories that are burnt during one day exceeds the amount of calories that were provided by the diet.
Creating such a shortage of available calories is known in dieting and fat loss circles as creating a caloric deficit.
If more calories are used in one day that are eaten, then the body results to burning the accumulated body fat to fund the deficit.
This in effect results to a reduced fat content in the body especially that which is already stored up as solids.
Fro one to lose his or her accumulated body fats, he or she actually burn more calories through physical activity than that those that he or she consumes in that particular day.
The days of ad Librium diet programs where the calories are not counted are gone.
We no longer live in the tyrannical days where dietitians simply dictated what you what not to eat and then what to eat.
We can now eat as we please, and as much as we want, as long as we restrict the calories eaten and burnt.
If the calories eaten exceed the ones that we expend in the course of the day, the extra calories are stored up as fat deposits in the body.
If on the other hand, the amount of ingested calories is lesser than that amount of calories needed to carry out physical activities, then the stored up fats are depleted gradually until the individual is lean and fat-free.
When we regulate and restrict our caloric consumption, we activate an in-built automatic fat control.
The fat loss program must therefore not refute the basic law of body energy balance; in essence rather, the program should confirm that law and utilize it to achieve maximum benefits.
The US Federal Trade Commission or simply FTC, prohibits any program to be advertised with the claim that you can eat as much food as you would like and still manage lose body fat.
Yet despite that prohibition, the feat is achievable.
If you eat all you want and still manage to burn more calories than those eaten, then it is indeed possible to validate such an 'illegal' claim practically.
The essence of successful fat loss programs lies not in what you eat but in creating a valid deficit between what is eaten and what is burnt.
