It seems as though the failing economy and the massive unemployment in America has begun to slow considerably in the last couple of months.
The panic and hysteria involved in the US market has begun to calm, and employers are once again considering expanding and hiring employees once again.
Though it is certainly going to take some time for us to see the job market completely climb out of the slump we have been in, there are some ways that we can get employment now.
A little while ago my father was laid off by Comp USA.
He had been working there for almost 15 years.
Comp USA declared Bankruptcy and my father was out of a job.
He was 60 years old and had no skill set for the job market except sales.
Well it was a poor economy, and there simply were just no jobs for a 60 year old non educated man.
He looked and looked and looked, and after three years of constant searching was still unable to find a job.
Finally he looked into becoming a CNA (certified nursing assistant).
The cna training was only 8 weeks long, and a large portion of it was done online.
The government even paid for him to go back to school.
He had never worked in the medical field before, but at this point it was clear that he needed a new skill set to have any chance in this job market.
He began his CNA training and cna classes in the fall of 2010.
He really enjoyed the CNA classes, and was soon after a graduated CNA.
The entire course was completely free, and he was now ready to get employed.
He went out and began applying and sure enough he was picked up within a week at a local facility.
His starting pay in California was $14 an hour.
Those CNA classes, and the cna training instructors completely turned his life around.
Now once again he is employed and happy to be back in the job market.
