Anaheim Resort is the Granddaddy

There is a good chance you've been to at least one of the Disney theme parks around the world, whether in Florida, France, Tokyo or Hong Kong (with more on the way they tell us).
But if you haven't been to the place where it all began, you are missing a part of history; so much so that dozens of celebrities, heads of state and members of royalty have made the trip to Anaheim, California.
Who of prominence, you ask, has visited the Mouse House? Vice President Richard Nixon helped open the place in 1955.
Many presidents such as President Eisenhower, Kennedy, Truman, Carter, Reagan, Bush and Nixon (again as President) all visited.
Emperor Hirohito of Japan, Prime Minister Nehru of India, King Hussein of Jordan, the King of Sweden and the Dalai Lama were all guests at the original Disneyland.
Soviet Premier Nikita Khruschev was outraged when he was not permitted to visit in the late 1950s.
A huge number of celebrities have visited the park over the years, sometimes causing a commotion when their disguise is figured out by other guests.
So it is only fitting that you visit the original Disneyland Resort located in Anaheim where the magic first began and where the Walt Disney, himself, had an apartment.
Up to this day, this park holds the distinction of being the only Disney theme park to be built, designed, opened as well as operated by Walt Disney, himself.
As we noted above, politicians, royalty and heads of state have all enjoyed the experienced much like every other person who has visited the place.
In fact, it is the 2nd most visited park in the world next to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
In case you haven't been to the park yet, let's look briefly at some of the attractions that help create the magic at Disneyland California.
Main Street, U.
S.
A is your first destination inside the park.
It is patterned after your typical Midwestern town during the 20th century.
The inspiration came from Walt Disney's own childhood back in Marceline, Missouri.
It is very reminiscent of the Victorian period in American history complete with a town square, a train station, a movie theatre as well as a firehouse that comes completer with a steam powered pump engine.
The Sleeping Beauty castle is located at the far end of Main Street, which acts as a kind of gateway to the various themed lands.
Other lands that you can visit within Disneyland include Adventureland, which was designed to re-create an exotic, jungle-like place where one would be able to find the Indiana Jones Adventure as well as visit Tarzan's Treehouse.
New Orleans Square, on the other hand, is for those people who want to travel back to simpler times (19th Century New Orleans, to be specific).
It is home to one of the park most famous attractions; The Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion.
Also located here is Club 33, that legendary members' only club.
Frontierland recreates the pioneer days together with the American Frontier and was designed to help give every visitor the feeling that they've gone back in time.
Tomorrowland is loved by kids and adults for its futuristic rides and attractions.
Walt Disney has long had a fascination for all kinds of transportation and this manifested itself through the Disneyland Railroad which provides visitors with a grand tour of the park.
The Magic Kingdom parks at other Disney resorts are in some ways quite similar to the Granddaddy of them all in Anaheim.
But they do not offer the same flavor of history and many brushes with celebrity.
