How to Change Windows Tool & Task Bar Fonts
- 1). Open up the "Display Properties" window. There are several ways to do this, but the two easiest methods are:
1. Right-click on the "Desktop" and then click on "Properties" in the window that opens up.
2. Click on "Start" then on "Settings" and "Control Panel." When that opens up, double-click on the "Display" icon. - 2). Click on the "Appearance" tab. In older versions of Windows, such as Windows 2000 or NT, you are ready to make the changes. In newer versions, such as XP and Vista, you now need to click on the "Advanced" button.
- 3). Point your mouse at the various elements of a window and click to change the attributes of that item. Alternatively, for the taskbar, open up the drop box below "Item" and select "Active Title Bar." You can now change the attributes of the font and its background.
- 4). Click on "Apply" and then "OK" once you are satisfied with the new settings.
