Poor Rex. He doesn’t understand one bit of what is going on. He knows something is terribly wrong when he calls Gigi’s phone and Brody answers, telling him Gigi doesn’t want to speak to him. So of course, knowing Rex will be right over, Gigi and Brody hop into bed to make Rex think they slept together and Rex walks right in on them. That scene was just awful and Rex was right not to believe a word Gigi said about not wanting to be with him any more.

Rex knows her story is lame, but he can’t figure out why she’s doing this, especially with their son in the hospital with cancer. I wanted to throw something at my screen when Gigi came up with that lame excuse about not trusting Rex and lied about getting the results of his blood test which she claims showed he wasn’t drugged the night she found him in bed with Stacy. Rex loves Gigi enough to try to get through what he thinks happened with Brody and asks Gigi to marry him. Well, that was the icing on the cake and when Stacy showed up and Gigi told her they broke up, Stacy was all smiles, sorry of course that they broke up, but bearing the good news that she could save Shane’s life. I am holding out hope that Rex’s sharp P.I. brain will figure this out. Gigi’s visit to Viki annoyed me because I was hoping that she would confide in Viki like she did in Brody. I think Viki and Rex could figure this out in five minutes if they put their heads together.

I was glad that Brody let Stacy have it when he ran into her in the hallway. I don’t think it mattered a bit that he told her he was just like her, loving someone who couldn’t love him back and that he had to learn to get over it and be just friends with Gigi.

Stacy listened to him when he told her that she should get over it because Rex would never love, but she tuned him out when she didn’t hear what she wanted to hear. Stacy didn’t want to hear it either when Schulyer figured out that she was in some way responsible for Rex and Gigi breaking up. He, too, told he that she would never get what she wants. See what I mean? Too many people know what Stacy is up to and most of them are decent people. How long can she last?

What is going on between Dorian and Ray Montez? Somehow, I don’t see these two as a romantic couple. I guess we’re supposed to believe that they feel heat for each other but I’m not feeling it. I just read that A Martinez has been let go from the show, which saddens me because he has always been a favorite of mine, and I would have liked to see him get a good storyline, but I guess it is not going to happen. I hope that if Ray heads back to Colombia he takes his conniving little daughter Lola with him. David is heading back to Llanview, so Dorian won’t be idle.

I guess Marty has finally found her feelings for John, huh? You just had to figure that just when she was ready to take a chance with him, he would tell her he married Blair. Oops. Timing is everything, isn’t it? And then we have John who has been by Blair’s side, taking care of her kids, telling the judge he loves her, and we can see that he has divided feelings for Blair and Marty. John, what’s a great guy in demand supposed to do? I guess Marty came to her senses a little too late for her son and for John. But I have no doubt that John and Marty are far from over and with Blair wearing that wedding ring on her finger, she will have lots of ammunition to fire at Marty if she becomes a threat to her relationship with John. What a mess! And just as a side note: I would love to see the reactions from Evangeline and Natalie (well, one of them can react) when it comes out that John actually asked Blair to marry him and went through with it. Who ever thought he’d take the plunge for any reason? He came closest with Natalie and I figured if he didn’t do it with her, it would never happen.

I guess Cole’s worst nightmare came true when he found out that Schuyler was his counselor at the drug rehab. Cole sure has become belligerent from those drugs but Schuyler sees through it and knows that Cole walked in there high. He lets Cole know that he doesn’t have a relationship with Starr and that she only turned to him because the one person she wanted to be with (Cole) wasn’t there for her. It didn’t help their relationship when Schuyler left Cole’s room and OOPS, forgot his phone. Cole picked it up and surprise, surprise, it was Starr calling her beloved Mr. J.

I am very disturbed by Starr’s behavior. She can’t stay away from Schuyler and tire of waiting for him to return her calls she goes to his apartment, walks in when he is conveniently walking out of the bathroom in a towel. She’s ready to go for it and starts taking off her clothes in desperation. That was hard to watch and as painful as it was for her, I was thrilled that he called her a kid and told her it wasn’t going to happen. It’s too bad Cole is on his way over there and will once again get the wrong idea about Schuyler. And tell me this. What the heck was Cole doing out for breakfast with Marty? What rehab facility lets a patient who was court ordered to be there go out on a pass when he will no doubt score some drugs before he returns? That was totally ridiculous.

What’s with Layla and Cristian? These two are another couple that I don’t see together. Cristian doesn’t deserve a girl like Layla. He’s been through too many women and done too many stupid things. Again, they got locked in somewhere together, this time the steam room at the spa. I guess it’s nothing to Layla to start peeling her clothes off at a moment’s notice in front of a man she supposedly can’t stand who is wearing nothing but a towel. This is just plain stupid! Layla and Fish make a much more interesting couple and we’re going to find out more about him, too.
