    • 1). Blow up a large balloon until it is approximately the size of your head and knot the end.

    • 2). Set the balloon aside.

    • 3). Tear newspaper into thin strips.

    • 4). Pour 2 cups of flour and 1 cup of water into a pot, and heat it until it starts to boil.

    • 5). Remove the pot from the stove and allow it to cool down.

    • 6). Dip the newspaper strips into the flour paste, and squeegee off the excess using your fingers.

    • 7). Drape the soaked strips onto the end of the balloon. Continue adding strips of newspaper until half of the balloon is covered with at least four layers.

    • 8). Allow the balloon to completely dry.

    • 9). Pop the balloon using a straight pin.

      Remove the balloon.

      Trim the edge of the remaining helmet using scissors.

      Paint the helmet a dark army green using acrylic paint.

      Allow the paint to dry completely.

      Cut two sections of ribbon to measure 6 inches long each.

      Hot glue one end of each ribbon to the underside of the helmet.

      Allow the hot glue to cool completely.

    • 17

      Place the helmet onto your head, and tie it on using the ribbons.
