• "The Sims: House Party," is an expansion for the Sims in which you can throw elaborate dinner, house or pool parties. As was the case with the original game, House Party has plenty of cheats that you can use if you need help or are just looking to get a little more amusement out of the game. To use any of the cheat codes below, press the "Ctrl," "Shift" and "C" keys simultaneously, type in the appropriate cheat code and then press the "Enter" key.
  
  

Lot and Object Cheats

• The first cheat code, "rosebud," gives you 1000 Simoleons, the currency of Sims games. You can also enter this cheat code as "rosebud;:" and hold down the "Enter" key in order to keep receiving Simoleons.
  
  Another cheat code, "lot_size X," where X is replaced with a number, can be used to expand the size of your lot, giving you more room to build on, while "auto_level" causes architectural tools to automatically level the terrain in order to compensate for whatever actions you try to take.
  
  Finally, "move_objects on" allows you to move any object in the game world.
  
  

Character Cheats

• Of the character cheats, "interests," displays a Sim's interests and personality attributes, which can be useful if you are trying to make friends or charm romantic interests. Another cheat code, "visitor_control," allows you to take control of visitors, including the mime and party crasher. If you're not satisfied with the characters you currently have, you can enter create-a-character mode with the cheat code "edit_char."
  
  If you want to know exactly where your Sims are going and how they plan on getting there, you can use the cheat code "draw_routes on" in order to display the movement path of whichever Sim you currently have selected. If you get tired of the effect, you can use the code "draw_routes off" in order to hide the paths.
  
  Finally, if you want to adjust the speed of the game, and are unsatisfied with the settings provided by the game, you can use the cheat code "sim_speed X," where X is a number between -1000 and 1000, to choose the precise speed you want.
  
  

Camera and Sound Cheats

• You can use the cheat code "rotation X" where X is a number 0 through 3 in order to rotate the camera and get a different perspective on your Sims and, if you find the music or sounds annoying, you can turn one or both of them off with the cheat codes "Toggle music" and "Toggle sounds." Repeat either of the last two cheat codes in order to turn the music or sound effects back on.
