Symptoms of Candida Overgrowth
Candida overgrowth (Candidiasis) is a condition that mainly affects people with a suppressed immune system because the fungus is allowed to grown uncontrolled in the gut.
If left untreated the fungus will break through the gut wall into the bloodstream and over time will compromise the endocrine system.
The three groups of symptoms for Candida overgrowth correspond to the three stages of the growth.
Group 1 Symptoms - Gut wall Penetrated When the Candida fungus has penetrated the gut wall (also known as leaky gut), you can expect the following symptoms: Food allergies, foggy brain, muscle aches and migraines.
Group 2 Symptoms - Endocrine System Compromised These symptoms occur when the Candida has entered the lymphatic system and has circulated itself around the body.
Cystitis, menstrual irregularities, joint pains, asthma, sinusitis, fungal infections in nails, PMS, weight gain or loss, chronic tiredness, allergies, sensitivities to certain fragrances (perfumes) and chronic tiredness.
Group 3 Symptoms - Constrained to the Gut These symptoms are expected when the fungus is constrained to the intestines: Bloatedness, flatulence, diarrhea and itchy anus.
Important Advice As you can see the list of symptoms is long and not very pleasant.
The best piece of advice is to treat Candidiasis as soon as possible to try and catch it before it has penetrated the gut wall and spread itself around the body in the form of thrush.
Once the fungus spreads to the group 2 Candida then the symptoms are far more widespread as you can see above.
A quick handy Tip If you are experiencing a number of the symptoms above and suspect that you may have some form of yeast infection such as Candida then eating Cream of Tartar is actually recommended as a temporary measure to control the Candida and the symptoms that result.
The Cream of Tartar substance actually fights the fungus and aids the immune system by controlling its growth.
