    • 1). Open your burning software. Go to "bootable CD" or check the box to create a "bootable CD."

    • 2). Copy the contents of Microsoft Windows XP onto your new CD. You can either drag and drop all of the files from an official Windows XP Professional CD into your project or take all of those files off of your hard drive and do the same. Make sure you select all of the files for Microsoft Windows XP Professional.

    • 3). Initiate the boot CD burn. Place a blank CD/ DVD into the respective drive and click "Begin," then wait for the project to complete. Remove the completed CD/ DVD when it's done. You will be able to plug this boot CD/ DVD into any computer to boot Windows XP Professional. If the boot disk does not automatically launch, simply find the disk drive in "Computer" and double-click "setup.exe" to run the disk.
