    • 2). Wait for the website to load. You will see many links to satellite snapshots, including "Solar System Live," "Your Sky" and "Earth and Moon Viewer." Click on the Earth and Moon viewer.

    • 3). Read the text that pops up on your screen. There will be a link titled "Map to Earth." Click on that to view a live satellite snapshot.

    • 4). Customize the live snapshot by checking any of the many options below the image. You can view live satellite images taken from the moon or one of NASA's satellites. You also can view the Earth from the night side or the sun side.

    • 5). Click on an area of the map where you want to zoom in. You won't be able to zoom in enough to see cars on the street in motion, but you can see any place in the world live through these satellite snapshots.

    Android Cell Phones

    • 1). Use an Android cell phone to view live satellite snapshots while you're on the go. Turn on your cell phone and navigate to the applications menu.

    • 2). Search through your phone's applications until your find "Maps." All newer Android phones have this feature. If your phone does not, you can easily download an application called "MicroMap" from the Android App store, which is listed under applications. Simply type the applications name in the search, then select download.

    • 3). Open the application and wait as your phone searches for your location using a satellite.

    • 4). Click the "Map Settings" button on your phone. This option should appear at the bottom of the map once it loads. A pop-up will ask you if you would like to view live traffic imagery. Hit "Yes," then "Save."

    • 5). View close-up satellite snapshots of your area by zooming in and out. This can be done by doing a pinching motion with your fingers on the screen of most Android phones.

    Google Map

    • 1). Open your Internet browser and navigate to Maps.google.com.

    • 2). Enter the address, city, or state of the area you would like to view in the search bar. Wait for the map to load.

    • 3). Hover over the smaller map in the top right-hand corner of the screen. A list of options will pop up. Select "Traffic" to view live traffic reports or "Webcams and Photos" to view pictures recently taken in those locations.

    • 4). Scroll up and down over the map to zoom in or out. If you prefer to view the map from the ground instead of the air, drag the little orange person to the left of the screen onto the map. You will then see snapshots taken from the ground.
