Pros and Cons

• Having your voice mail through Verizon or any phone company has its pros and cons that should be considered. No longer having to buy your own answering system or maintain it is a pro and a con because, while you don't have to worry about it breaking or having to replace it, you are constantly paying for voicemail. The biggest benefit is that your Verizon voice mail will likely be a lot more reliable, and there are no worries about whether it's turned on or not.
  
  

Procedures

• Dial your access number, which may be the same as your home number. This is true whether you are at home or away. When the system picks up, hit the star (*) key on the phone. Enter your passcode. Listen to the instructions. You will need to hit the number "1" key to listen to your messages.
