"The Whole Ten Yards" Premiere Coverage
Think back four years ago to the end of "The Whole Nine Yards." Matthew Perry and Natasha Henstridge were in love and ready to marry, with reluctant blessings from ex-mobster/ex-husband Jimmy 'The Tulip' Tudeski (Bruce Willis). Fast forward to the present and Perry and Henstridge are now playing a happily married couple who find their domestic lives suddenly intruded upon by the release of mob boss, Lazlo Gogolak (Kevin Pollak), in "The Whole Ten Yards."
Time was running short when Matthew Perry and Natasha Henstridge stopped for a few quick questions at the World Premiere of "The Whole Ten Yards." Here's a few brief quotes from the red carpet event:
INTERVIEW WITH MATTHEW PERRY ('Oz'):
You get to show a little skin in this movie, don?t you?
I do, I do. Not as much as Bruce does. The nude scene is really Bruce?s.
What did your girlfriend Rachel Dunn think of you taking it off onscreen?
She?s happy. She?s thrilled with it.
Bruce Willis' daughter Tallulah has a small role in this movie as a Buttercup Scout and we've heard Bruce's girls sell Girl Scout cookies. Did you have to buy any cookies from him?
(Laughing) Bruce tries to sell everything. He?s a very rich man but he?s never [satisfied] so I buy his shirts.
You?re going to be working with your father in an upcoming movie. Have you started filming that yet?
We haven?t started yet. It?s called ?The Beginning of Wisdom? and stars my father, myself and Monica Potter.
How did you two get together to decide on this movie?
He found the material.
It?s his movie. And to get me to do it, he said, ?I?m your dad. Do this.? I said, ?Alright, sure.?
INTERVIEW WITH NATASHA HENSTRIDGE ('Cynthia'):
Were you the victim of any practical jokes on the set?
Pulled on me? Not so much. The only thing I can think of was when we were doing the press junket for this, Kevin Pollak and I thought it would be really fun and interesting to just make up a story that Bruce Willis when he did the butt scene, that he came out at one point and had a thermometer stuck up his butt, which was absolutely fabricated just for our entertainment purposes. All the interviewers that were leaving that room and going to Bruce?s room, we all mentioned it to them. I ran into somebody after that and I?m like, ?What did he say when you brought that up?? They said he went along with it. He was like, ?Yeah, yeah, you missed it.? So he just went along with it.
What?s the key to a good butt scene?
The lighting.
