How Make a Website Using Tables in Dreamweaver
- 1). Open Dreamweaver.
- 2). Click "File" in the top menu bar and select "New." Select the blank HTML page option, with no pre-defined layout and click the "Create" button.
- 3). Confirm that you are editing in Design View by clicking "View" in the top menu bar and selecting the "Design" option.
- 4). Click "Insert" in the top menu bar and select "Table."
- 5). Enter the number of rows and columns required by your table in the corresponding fields and set your desired table width in the resulting dialog box.
- 6). Set the border thickness value to "0" (without quotes) and set cell padding and cell spacing values that meet the needs of your design.
- 7). Select the "None" option within the "Header" section.
- 8). Click "OK" after setting your options to create the table.
- 9). Click just above the top border of the table to select it. After doing so, look toward the "Properties" bar at the bottom of the screen and locate the "Align" drop-down menu. Select "Left," "Center" or "Right" from this menu to specify your preferred table alignment.

Hold your cursor over a row or column until a double-headed arrow appears. Resize the widths and heights of your columns and rows by clicking once, holding your clicking, dragging the column or row to your desired size and releasing your click. You can also resize the table itself using this method. - 11
Click "File" in the top menu bar and select "Save." Give your webpage a file name, select a save location and click the "Save" button. With the basic table framework of the page defined, you can now begin adding text, images and other content within the individual cells of the table to make a website in Dreamweaver.
