Persons use cast nets as an effective way to capture sea creatures like shrimps and bait fish. As simple as this feet sounds, throwing it requires a bit of practice and skill to be able to cast it out properly. This writing will give you guideline procedure to understand how to toss your cast net accurately. There are a couple techniques that can be used, but some techniques are more effective than others based on how many persons are casting it and the range of the net. Required Tools: Slider ring Required Materials: Cast netLead line Instructions are as follows: 1. First you have to connect the lead line over your left wrist and tie a loop at the end of the line, and pass the line into the loop to create a next loop. Put your left hand in the next loop and pull the line to clinch it around your wrist. 2. Drop the net and line at your feet and loop the line to around 6 to 8 inches in width in your left hand until you remove all the sloppiness from the line with your left hand sustain it to about chest level. 3. Hold the slider ring on the lead line which is at the middle of the net in the right hand and move it up going up to your left hand. The net will then elongate as the slider ring is moved along the lead line. When you are ready to lift the net from of the deck by the slider ring, the net must hang straight down with all the lead weights around the bottom skirt hanging at the same height in a clump, if the weights are not lynching evenly then you will have to unravel the string on the interior of the net before continuing. 4. Place the slider ring into your left hand and hold the net about half of the way to the bottom with your right hand and pass the gathered net within your right hand to your left without letting go of the loop or the slider ring. If your left hand feels uncomfortable and full then you can hold the net just below the slider ring instead of on the ring itself. 5. Hold a part of the bottom skirt, in between the weights, and put this part into your teeth. Next hold the skirt at a point, counter-clockwise, arms-length from the section in our teeth. Turn to your left at the waist to wind up and throw the net by twisting to the right and releasing all points at once and remember to let go with your teeth. Before throwing, twist your body away from the target, then rotate your body smoothly as you throw the net and release so the cast net hits in a circular form. Once it reaches the intended target then tug the near to close the net. 6. If the net stretches out consistently and has a slight clockwise spin as it moves in the air then you will know that you are doing it correctly. Then give the net a few moments to settle to the base and tug on it in and as you proceed loop the lead line in your left hand. 7. As soon as the net reaches you, lift it onto the deck by the lead line and let it out it by running the slider ring up the lead line. If you are left handed simply reverse the procedure. Tips and Warnings *If you are going to make a loop that is any bigger than 6 to 8 inches in width then casting it will entail using both hands. *Prior to casting a net, always examine it to make sure that the loop is still secure around your wrist.
