    • 1). Click "Start" and "Control Panel." Click "System and Security" and "Windows Firewall."

    • 2). Click the "Advanced Settings" link in the left pane of the window. The Windows Firewall with Advanced Security window is displayed.

    • 3). Click the "Windows Firewall Properties" link at the bottom of the Overview section.

    • 4). Click the drop-down menu under "Firewall State" and select "Off" to disable the Firewall. Click the "Apply" button to save the changes, then click the "OK" button to exit the window. Close the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security window.
