    • 1). Load paper into your printer.

    • 2). Open the "Printer Settings" dialog box. From the "Start" menu, click "Control Panel." Click "Printers and other hardware", then select "Printers and Faxes." Click to select your printer, then choose "Printing Preferences" on the "File" menu.

    • 3). Click the "Utility" tab to open the "Utility" menu.

    • 4). Select "Nozzle Check." The printer will print out a nozzle check pattern to compare with the image of the same pattern on your computer screen.

    • 5). Click "Clean" if you detect any faint areas or gaps in the printed pattern. Click "Finish" if the printout was satisfactory.
