New Zealand is an island country and comprises of two main land masses.
There is the North Island and the South Island.
There are other smaller islands like the famous Chatham and Stewart Islands.
The island sits in isolation and its situated 2,000 kilometres on the southeast of Australia across the Tasman Sea.
Her neighbors are Fiji, Tonga and Caledonia.
The countries together with Fiji are the dominants forces in rugby sports.
The country has a team know as the All Blacks.
New Zealand is very much developed and ranks highly worldwide.
It's top in various disciplines that many developed have been unable to wade off.
It's reputed for being a corruption free zone and has achieved education and economic freedom.
New Zealand is a constitutional monarchy and is headed by Queen Elizabeth II.
Agriculture and tourism are the key major sources of income to the country.
The country is famed for her development in livestock research and keeps high grade cattle and sheep.
Goats too are common in this area.
New Zeakand takes tourism seriously.
It has a wonderful fauna and it's a haven for birds like the famous Kiwi.
It also made up of very nice landscapes that have been used for the production of films like the Lords of the Rings trilogy and The Last Samurai.
South Island has the largest land mass and contains forests and national parks.
The area is also made up of high mountains and offers a scenic view of other island.
The North Island is surrounded by volcanic mountains.
The most active area is Taupo volcanic zone and it's the largest volcanic plateau.
The area is also covered by beautiful kauri trees.
