Dubai is indubitably a top-class destination with exotic beaches and grand malls. It is also turning out to be the top honeymoon destination in the world since the country has everything to offer to young couples. From sunny beaches to exciting shopping corners to great restaurants to flashy suites, you are likely to feel completely enamored by the country's riches. However, at the same time there are a few rules which one needs to keep in mind. Couples, both married and unmarried must adhere to certain principles so as not to get in trouble with the moral police.

Here is a look at things couples must keep in mind while taking up Dubai accommodation:
  1. Room sharing: If you are coming from a liberal western country, then you may be used to sharing a private room with your fiancé or with your girlfriend. However, the religion and the society of UAE do not permit unmarried couple to stay in one single room. So, if you are traveling with your girlfriend or a partner who is not married to you, then you should book separate rooms. Alternatively, you can pretend to be married and take a single room. Dubai's top hotels receive a huge number of foreign tourists and so this rule has got a bit relaxed in recent years. But still, you must not be vocal about the fact that your partner is unmarried to you. As long as you stick to documental formalities, the hotel staff won't press you for details.
  2. Attire: While making Dubai hotel booking, you also need to pay attention to your attire. You can walk in negligees and skimpy outfits, shorts or even in nude conditions inside your private rooms. But when you are in the lobby, you must not wear anything which shows skin or is considered profane or vulgar. You should also stay away from wearing any outfit which is transparent, has a low neck, or has a high hemline. Also refrain from slipping into tight clothes which give away your shape.
  3. Intimacy: Most foreigners are used to getting intimate in public places back in their own countries. But in Dubai, you cannot really kiss in the lobby or make any sort of gesture which is considered too intimate or private for the plebian eye. At most, you can hold hands but even try to keep it under checks. Your Dubai accommodation rooms will give you ample space to get cozy and do whatever you have wanted to do! But when in lobby or out in the hotel premises, please refrain from getting lovey dovey. Your mushy liaisons will immediately attraction attention of the local cops and you may find yourself in deep trouble. Even while heading to the malls and markets, you must dress appropriately and must not get mushy. In the beaches, you can wear swimsuits but they must not be vulgar or too revealing for comfort.
  4. Other hotel rules: Different hotels and resorts may have their own exclusive rules for couples and honeymooners. Better consult the authorities while making Dubai hotel booking.
