For those who fell in love with the Killers based on the adolescent punk psychodrama of "Mr. Brightside," their new single "All These Things That I've Done" offers something different. With guitar and drums still front and center they offer a straightforward pop/rock anthem. A gospel chorus of "I got soul but I'm not a soldier" offers respite for war-weary fans. The song is frequently used to great uplifting effect as a closer for the band's concerts.

"All These Things That I've Done" was released by the Killers as a single in the U.K. last summer and landed in the top 40. The U.K. released included a music video featuring the band congratulating various fans along city streets. The new U.S. release is accompanied by a much different video directed by long-term Depeche Mode collaborator Anton Corbijn. The video is shot in black and white and includes the band in cowboy hats and clothing.

The band have admitted in interviews that even they do not completely understand the video.

Despite the confusing visual images, the song is a rousing success for listening. You will soon find yourself singing along. "All These Things That I've Done" goes into general U.S. radio release Tuesday June 28th.
