Cowboys and Aliens(2011)
This one will be used as proof that sometimes, the comic book movies should just stay in the comic books.

The story: A spaceship arrives in Arizona, 1873, to take over the Earth, starting with the Wild West region. A posse of cowboys are all that stand in their way. Directed by Jon Favreau. Features: Extended Version; U-Control Picture In Picture (HD); Audio Commentary; Igniting the Sky; Conversations with Jon Favreau (SD, 80 minutes); Second Screen; My Scenes Bookmarking; BD-Live Functionality.

The Sarah Jane Adventures: The Complete Fourth Season(2010)
This is the final season that was completed before Elisabeth Sladen's death this year; two stories for season 5 were also made, and it's not clear when they'll be released. The story: In the fourth season, Luke faces down the terrifying Nightmare Man stalking his dreams before leaving Sarah Jane and the gang as he departs for university. But the planet won't save itself and there are still more adventures in store for the gang: confronting the Men in Black at the Vault of Secrets; waking up to find every human on the planet has disappeared; being scattered through the past in order to find three objects forged in the Time Vortex.

Includes an adventure with the Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith) and Jo Grant (Katy Manning).

The Return of Post-Apocalyptic Cowgirls(2011)
Maria Beatty's graphically erotic sequel to her equally explicit 2008 film, titled, of course, Post-Apocalyptic Cowgirls. If you really want post-Armageddon lovemaking, though, you're much better off with A Boy and His Dog. The story: Set in the arid barren, languid and punishing realm of the desert. Surgeon Scofflaw now reigns as the desert Dom. Equipped with her new errand boy on her arm, together they search for resources and new playthings in the desert.

Gog(1954)
An unusually involving example of the armor-plated creature feature, part of a loose trilogy from producer Ivan Tors. The story: A security agent investigates sabotage and murder at a secret underground laboratory, home of two experimental robots -- Gag and Magog. Starring: Richard Egan, Constance Dowling, and Herbert Marshall, all veterans of this sort of thing. Director: Herbert L. Strock (Donovan's Brain).

Captain Power: The Complete Series(1987-88)
The executive story editor on this series was ... yes, J. Michael Straczynski, which places it on his resume, both chronologically and progressively, somewhere between She-Ra and Babylon 5. This Canadian-American series is enjoying a resurgence in interest thanks to rumors of a reboot; after all, the scripts for the unmade second season are still lying around, so why not make a summer blockbuster? The story: In the 22nd century, war was waged with mechanized warriors. Man had finally found a way to make war with minimal loss of human life. It was a good concept until the machines united and turned their fury on their creators. Stars Tim Dunigan. 2 discs. Creator: Garry Goddard (Tarzan, The Ape Man -- yes, the one with Bo Derek; Masters of the Universe -- yes, with Dolph Ludgren).

Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection: XXII(1991-96)
Contains Mighty Jack (314, the Japanese James Bond TV ripoff), Time of the Apes (306, the Japanese Planet if the Apes TV rip-off), Ed Wood's The Violent Years (610, with short "Young Man's Fancy"), and The Brute Man (702, with short "The Chicken of Tomorrow"). Features: The Making Of MST3K (1997); Trail of the Creeper: Making the Brute Man Documentary; Archival Interviews with The Violent Years' Delores Fuller and Kathy Wood; Mystery Science Theater hour wraps; Original trailers; 4 exclusive mini-posters by artist Steve Vance.
