If you let the kids pick where you'll stay on your trip to the beach, I'm fairly sure Splash will be the clear winner. Fortunately, Splash makes sure the adults will be comfortable too. Parking is across the street (connected by elevated walkway), and so is a huge Alvin's Island for beach essentials, souvenirs and pet hermit crabs.

Highlights:

• Overlooking the splash park and the Gulf of Mexico is a video game arcade with a mini-bowling alley.

• One- to three-bedroom condo units with full kitchens are decorated in a way that will wow adults, with bunk beds stashed in the hallway and granite countertops.
• A wow-inducing swimming pool complex with a large, partially-enclosed (and shaded) water park, a short lazy river, a heated outdoor pool and a toddler splash park offer fun for everyone in the family.
